24/7 Prayer
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Prayer is the bedrock of faith. Through prayer, we are able to talk directly with God, who is always in control. Even though we don't understand the plan, we know that there is a plan. God gives us the unique opportunity to participate in His plan.Â

God calls for us various times in the Bible to pray for our leaders and those in power. By actively and intentionally praying for our civic leaders, we believe that we are able to stand in the gap for our city as beacons of light. Â

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus
During 2020 Covid our King County Prayer Breakfast team found ourselves asking if we could still host the King County Prayer Breakfast, or if we could even meet to plan it, due to regulations. Â So, a half-dozen from the team gathered to pray for the city and its leadership - outside Westlake Center, close to where the first group met over 90 years prior. Â That group - and dozens more - has continued to meet weekly, Â since its foundation, rain or shine. Since then, additional prayer groups were formed in Everett, Renton and Bellevue with the focus of praying for our civic leaders.Â
